This is an informal Rehearsal Orchestra meeting weekly on Monday evenings in the Northbourne Centre, Didcot. We do not give performances which allows players to fit rehearsals around work and other committments and also allows us to tackle more ambitious pieces on occasions. The orchestra has a significant porfolio of its own music. We also hire pieces for periods of about three months and will try to arrange a `performance-like' playthrough of a piece just before returning it to the library. Our members span a wide age range and come from all over Oxfordshire. We welcome musicians of all standards, although a competent sightreading ability is required since we adapt our evenings playing to the forces available, so it is not always possible to practice beforehand.

We meet weekly on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, except Bank Holidays and the month of August There is a weekly charge of £2 a week (or £60 a year) to cover the hire charges of the Centre and the music. New members are not required to pay for the first three weeks.
